Digital Pictures and Quicktime Movies of Stentors, Desmids and Blepharismas - with on of Amoeba proteus !!
Stentors are shown free swimming and attached! Desmids are show with pyrenoids in each chloroplasts and brownian movements in the cells! In Closterium this is mainly demonstrated in the vacuoles at each end of the organism! These vacuoles are filled with granules of calcium sulfate or barium sulfate! In the case of Cosmarium , this is demonstrated inside the semicells which are joined to the by an isthmus! The Blepharismas actually were not slowed by any agent such as protosol, so the digital pictures and the Quicktime Movie is not high quality!
