Findings of Water Samples from Mud Lake Boulder Colorado!

Mud Lake is Located North of Netherland Colorado in Boulder County. The history of the place states that: "In collaboration with the Town of Nederland, Boulder County Open Space and Wild Bear, over 200 acres were preserved as the Mud Lake Open Space in 1999."! What interesed me is that some said that the Lake was formed by a meteor strike! Others say it was a result of mining and the draining of a lake higher up!

Here is the Natural History of the area!

I collected water from the edge of the Lake! I collected during a very cool morning and did not see any wildlife! In fact the Natural History of the area says that there are snails in the Lake; however, I did not see nor collect any snails! I may have observed one frog; but, I can not be sure of that! I guess my main interest in the pond was the theory that a meteor strike caused it and also the totem that was set up going to the lake! No doubt assuaging the great amoeboid beast that came down on the meteor so that it does not attack mankind!

The PH on the lake was 6.5 and there were no measurable amounts of Ammonia or Nitrites! The salt level was between 0.00 and 0.02 percent!
